De Karibisk turistorganisasjon (CTO) og St. Vincent og Grenadinene Tourism Authority (SVGTA) har fulgt utviklingen rundt den tropiske stormen Dorian i lys av Karibisk konferanse om bærekraftig turismeutvikling - ellers kjent som Sustainable Tourism Conference - planlagt å bli holdt her denne uken.
I lys av den pågående stormen og de resulterende avbestillingene av flyet mandag 26. august, vil CTO og SVGTA gi råd om at konferansen vil fortsette. Imidlertid vil konferansen nå offisielt begynne onsdag 28. august i stedet for tirsdag 27. august, med generalforsamlingene som foregår onsdag 28. og torsdag 29. august. Studieturene, som opprinnelig var planlagt fredag 30. august, vil gå som planlagt.
CTO og SVGTA angrer på eventuelle ulemper som er forårsaket av disse endringene, og vil fortsette å overvåke situasjonen og gi råd om det er andre endringer. Oppdateringer vil bli lagt ut på www.caribbeanstc.com og www.onecaribbean.com.
