Alliance Global Group Inc. kunngjorde mandag at de har avtalt å selge halvparten av sin turismearm, Travelers International Hotel Group Inc., til Hong Kong-børsnoterte Star Cruises Ltd. for 335 millioner dollar.
De to selskapene har inngått en endelig avtale, hvor Star Cruises vil anskaffe en samlet eierandel på 50 prosent i Travellers gjennom heleide datterselskaper.
"Avtalen tillater Alliance Global og Star Cruises å forfølge strategiske og samarbeidsordninger i forhold til utvikling og drift av fritids- og underholdningsprosjekter på Filippinene," sa Alliance.
Star Cruises er Alliance Globals partner for sin deltakelse i Manila Bay Tourism City-prosjektet til Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (Pagcor). Reisende er i ferd med å gjennomføre utviklingen av et spill- og hotellkompleks i Newport City, som er en del av Manila Bay-prosjektet.
Alliance Global, hvis aksjer er notert på den filippinske børsen, har interesser i restauranter, mat og drikke.
Star Cruises er et børsnotert selskap i Hong Kong og regnes som den tredje største cruiselinjene i verden.
